FAAC is a big Italian name in gate automation, and it's especially well known for hydraulic gate motors. There are a lot of FAAC gates in Northern Ireland, and I repair them all – hydraulic and electromechanical, swing and sliding, whoever fitted them.
FAAC hydraulic motors
Hydraulic motors are tough, but they need the right care. Common problems I see:

- oil leaks around the ram or seals
- loss of pressure – the gate moves slowly, weakly or not at all
- jerky or noisy movement, often from air in the system or low oil
- the gate won't hold shut or open in the wind
These need a specialist. Please don't top up or bleed a hydraulic system yourself.
Other FAAC repairs
- electromechanical swing and sliding gate motors
- control boards – water, surge and component faults
- photocells and safety edges
- remotes, receivers and keypads
Repair or upgrade?
Well-maintained FAAC hydraulics can run for years. Where a system is very old and parts are scarce, I'll give you the honest options – including a modern replacement such as Fadini hydraulics, which I install. See repair or replace?
Call, text or WhatsApp Adrian on 07855 781433 – a photo of the motors and a short video of the gate help me bring the right parts.
Questions people ask me
Can you repair FAAC hydraulic gate motors?
Yes – including leaks, pressure problems and worn seals.
My FAAC gate is leaking oil. Is that serious?
It needs looking at soon. Low oil can damage the motor and stop the gate holding properly.
Do you supply FAAC remotes?
For most FAAC systems, yes.
